based in Silver Spring, Maryland.



His reporting has covered education and public safety in Loudoun County, Virginia; international democracy; federal elections in the U.S.; immigration policy, the State House and Congressional delegation in Maryland; former President Donald Trump's impeachment, and the U.S. Supreme Court. Horus also thrives reporting on feature stories highlighting the human experience within larger events.

As a designer, he engages the user with streamlined features and interactive graphics that propel a story. Horus' pages provide a crisp backdrop for journalistic stories and product demos. His photography aims to capture human emotion within newsmaking events — Horus is proficient at making images with a Nikon D750 and D5100, using a 24-70 mm wide-angle lens as well as a 70-200 mm telephoto lens.

Horus has edited web content for NASA's Glenn Research Center in Cleveland, Ohio, and written for the Loudoun Times-Mirror, U.S. News & World Report, Maryland Matters, the Baltimore Brew, Capital News Service, the Diamondback and the Frederick News-Post.

He completed a master's degree in journalism at the University of Maryland in December 2019. Horus previously earned a bachelor's degree in philosophy from the same university, and is a native Spanish speaker with backgrounds in Latin, French and Italian. View his resume here.
